“I believe that prior to marrying Samuel Whitlow in 1809, Sarah Mitchell married Capt. Richard Pollard (1740-1803) in 1786 in Abbeville, South Carolina (married at the home of William Moore by a Justice of the Peace). Sarah and Richard had four children, Austin Pollard (1787-1819) being my 3rd great grandfather.
