Tullis was apparently son of Florence Wiley by her first husband. In the 1910 census he was enumerated as Tullos Berry and described as step son of Sydney Wiley, head of household. However, in the 1920 and 1930 census, he was enumerated as Tullis Wiley and listed as son.
