''Will’’ Haithcock in the 1850 census is the son of John Hathcock Jr. and Elizabeth Bobbitt. William (Billy) Haithcock married Nancy Capps in Warren County, 23 December 1836. Their son, William Capps Haithcock was born 24 May 1845 and was in Company G of the North Carolina Junior Reserves, CSA. in the Civil War. He was wounded in Gettysburg. A Civil War record including his pension application is on file at the National Archives in Washington, DC. William Capps Haithcock married Bettie Mumsford Conn (born 14 June 1851, died 7 December 1930). Their children included Charles Alston, (born 13 September 1871, died November 1945), who married Maggie Jones Robertson, (born 31 March 1868, died 10 May 1935). The son of Charles and Maggie, Cary Marion Haithcock was born 28 July 1902 in Robertson Cross Roads, Fishing Creek Township, in Warren County, and died in Baden, Stanly County, North Carolina, about 1970. William Capps Haithcock died 16 March 1915.

William and Nancy Capps Haithcock’s other son, Turner B. Haithcock, married Annie Belle Aycock and their children included James Cary Haithcock, who was born 3 July 1881 in Warrenton, North Carolina, and who married Mary Jane Campbell (born 12 March 1888 in Pitt County, NC), daughter of William H. Campbell and Barbara Laura Mclawhorn. James Cary died 27 June 1971 in Florida or South Carolina. Their children were: Annie Bell (born 8 August 1905, near Oak City Goose Township, North Carolina), Ashley Campbell (born 9 December 1908). Laura Lucille (born 17 September 1912 near Bern, North Carolina, died 21 December 1913). Wilbert Leonard (born 30 October 1914), Frederick James (born 15 October 1918), Mildred Agnes (born 3 April 1921 near Whitakers in Wash Cokunty, North Carolina), May Kathleen (born 1 November ?), and Clinton Bernard (born 21 July 1927 in North Carolina). Alfred Loftin Haithcock was another son of William and Nancy Capps Haithcock, born about 1835. He married Josephine Bobbitt in Warren County 4 April 1876 ard moved to Franklin County. The Thomas Haithcock appearing in the 1850 census of Warren County, North Carolina is the son of John Haithcock Jr. He married Matilda Capps 1 December 1841. One of their sons was Henry Clay Haithcock, who married Agnes Conn 15 November 1867. They lived in Warren County in 1880 with Thomas and Matilda Haithcock. Thomas Haithcock was known in Warren County as a great outdoorsman and hunter.
