Elizabeth was born ca 1668 at Northampton Co VA. As of ca 1685, her married name was James. She married John James, son of John James and Mary (-----), ca 1685. Elizabeth was named in her husband's will on 17 Mar 1695/96 at Northampton Co VA. She was shown as “my wife” in the will of John James and as the widow Elizabeth James when she qualified to settle his estate at probate. As of ca 1698, her married name was Fisher. She married Phillip Fisher, son of Capt. Phillip Fisher and Elizabeth Maddox, ca 1698. Elizabeth was named in her husband's will on 17 Feb 1708/9 at Accomack Co VA. She was shown as “my wife Eilzabeth” and was named Extr in the will of Philip Fisher. He also named my wife's daughter Ann James.2724

p. 143 - 7 June 1709. This day Elizabeth ffisher widdow prefented to this Court the Last will and Testament of her late husband Phillip ffisher for probation, she being Executrix. Will proved by John Morris and Wm. Lucus.

p. 167 - 8 March 1709. James Welch in suit of ejectment against John Whor and Wm. Lucus and Elizabeth ffisher, execctrix of Phillip ffisher.

In Phillip’s will he left his son John his “gunne and no more,” but made various legacies to his other children, Philip, Baily (under 16 at the time), Mary, Elizabeth, and Ann James, a child of his wife Elizabeth.2723 John Fisher received as well as the gun the 300 acres of entail and his father’s share in the marshland.
