In 1819 William Jewell bought land in Franklin Co KY on Salt River about a mile above Anderson City KY. This part of Franklin County became Anderson Co in 1827. All of his children were by his first wife, Margaret. After she died, William married Mrs. Eleanor Cromwell (nee Petty) in 1831.2828
