SHREVEPORT, LA Graveside services for Mrs, Olive "Cookie" Haywood, 77, will be held Saturday, July 3, 2004; in Centuries Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Reverend Mike Stowell. Visitation will be held Friday, July 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. She entered into rest on Thursday July 1, 2004 after a lengthy illness. "Cookie" a lifelong resident of Shreveport, was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Haywood was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Haywood, Jr.; parents Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Cook; and brother Charles Cook. She is survived by two sons, Fred Haywood III, and wife Sandy, and Charles Haywood all of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Nelda Brakefield of Rayville, LA and Janet McCleery of Urania, LA; two brothers, Forrest Cook of Olla, LA and Michael Cook of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Wendy DuPuy and husband Mike; Doug Haywood and wife Sandy; and four great-grandchildren, Paris and Michael DuPuy and Colton and Hanna Haywood.

Fred "Pete" Haywood, Jr.

SHREVEPORT – Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road for Mr. Fred "Pete" Haywood, Jr., 65, of Shreveport, at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 1989. Officiating will be the Rev. Fox Paul. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the funeral home, Friday, May 26, from 1-9 p.m. and Saturday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Haywood entered into rest Thursday, May 25, at Schumpert Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, a life time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and also a life time member of the CWA.

He was preceded In death bv his mother and father, Fred and Grace Haywood and his brother, R. D. "Dean" Havwood.

He is survived by his wife, Olive "Cookie" Haywood of Shreveport; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. Fred and Sandy Haywood of Shreveport, Charles and Debbie Haywood of Shreveport; two grandchildren, Wendy Haywood and Fred D. Haywood both of Shreveport; four sisters, Fern O'Daniel of Shreveport, Blanche Diamond and her husband, Louis of Shreveport, Helen Fetzer and her husband, John of Shreveport, Nancy Sipes and her husband, Steve of Shreveport; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Cook of Urania, La.; one sister-in-law, Gladys P. Haywood of Shreveport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Brakefield, Forrest Cook, Charles Cook, Mike Cook, Pierce Hall and David Thompson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Louie Wood, Louis Diamond, Geno Golns.

Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
