Funeral services for Mrs. Alice DeKalb Adair Leppard, former resident of Greenville, but for the past several years of Spartanburg, where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Sarah L. Stow, 152 East Cleveland Street, will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, at Washington Baptist Church, of which she was a member.
Officiating will be Dr. C. Frank Pittman, the Rev. Oren Bradley, and the Rev. Walter A. Baldwin. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Allen Kellett, John Archie Leppard, Stephen Guyton, Ben Jt. Leppard, Norman King and Ralph King. They will meet at the Mackey Mortuary at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Leppard had been In declining health for some time and died shortly after midnight Sunday at the home in Spartanburg. She was born in Greenville County June 6, 1862, and was a daughter of the late John Archie and Sallie (Turley) Adair, of Laurens County. For many years she made her home in this city, before moving to Spartanburg.
Mrs. Leppard Is survived by three sons, B. T. Leppard of this city, James E. Leppard of Chesterfield and the Rev. LeRoy D. Leppard of Rutherfordton, N. C; two daughters, Mrs. Stow of Spartanburg and Mrs. Laynie Guyton of Marion; one brother, W. S. Adair of Fountain Inn; two sisters, Mrs. G. W. King of Fork Shoals and Mrs. E. W. King of Simpsonville; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Further announcements will be made from the offices of James F. Mackey and Sons, Morticians. Pending the hour of the service the body will remain at the mortuary.
