HILLSBOROUGH — Worth Bagley Haithcock 83 resident of 221 Crawford Rd Hillsborough died Tuesday morning in the Brian Convalescent Center following declining health.

He was born in Warren County, the son of the late Henry C and Kate Gillilard Haithcock. He had been a resident of Orange County for most of his life. He was a retired Engineer with Liggett-Myers Tobacco Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsborough and had served as a former Deacon. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. He was a Mason.

Surviving: wife Mildred King Haithcock, two sons, Tim Haithcock of Goldsboro and Mark Bagley Haithcock of Butner, one sister, Mrs Lois Linkious of Hampton Va; two brothers, Cree Haithcock of Salisbury and Maynard Haithcock of Delaplaine Va, and two grandsons Troy and Worth Haithcock of Goldsboro

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 am in First Baptist Church by Rev Dr BE White Jr Burial will follow in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm at Clements Funeral Home 148 N Churton St in Hillsborough Flowers are acceptable or those wishing may made memorial contributions to First Baptist Church 201 W King St Hillsborough NC 27278

HILLSBOROUGH — Mrs Edna Scott Haithcock, 67, Route 4 Box 902, Hillsborough, retired saleslady from Belk Leggett, died Tuesday. Funeral 11 am Thursday First Baptist Church. Burial Hillsborough Cemetery.

Surviving: husband Worth Haithcock; sons Mark B Haithcock of Butner, Worth P. Haithcock of Goldsboro; sisters Mrs Doris Paschall of Durham. Mrs Hilda Swainey of Wilson; brothers, Philip Scott of Durham, Melvin Scott of Greensboro, Roland Scott of Hillsborough; father Clyde H Scott of Hillsborough; two grandchildren.
