BROWNSVILLE, Tenn., Sept 19 Services for Charles Gilmore Chambers, 33, prominent young Brownsville planter, killed in an auto-truck collision which claimed two other lives near Braden, Tenn., Thursday morning, were to be held Friday afternoon at 3 at the home of his mother, Mrs. John M. Chambers, here, with the Rev. W. Q. Scruggs officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Brownsville Funeral Home In charge.

Born in Brownsville, Mr. Chambers was a Methodist and a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He moved back to Brownsville in January after spending several years in Orlando, Fla., where he was in the nursery business. Mr. Chambers graduated from Haywood County High School here and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Besides his mother, he leaves two sons, Charles Chambers and Glenn Chambers, a daughter, Carol Chambers, all of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Dr. John Chambers of Memphis; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Walker of Hampton, Va.
