Pinola, Nov. 12 Taylor J. Peacock, 75, prominent citizen of Pinola, died late Saturday night in the Baptist Hospital, Jackson, after a short illness.
Mr. Peacock was a member ol a pioneer family of Simpson county.He was in the mercantile business in Pinola for about 30 years and served as chancery clerk for two terms. In recent years he had been farming. He was an active member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Juanita Hartness Peacock, Pinola, two sons, John Milton Peacock and T. J. Peacock, Jr, and one daughter, Mrs. Austin Carter, all of Jackson; six granchildren; a brother, R. V. Peacock. Pinola; three sisters, Mrs. E. B. Allen. Pinola; Mrs. Hugh Thurman, Shivers and Mrs. Tom Neely. Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at p. m. Monday from the Pinola Baptist church. Interment will be .in the Pinola cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Robert Magee, T. P. Jones. George Williamson, Julius Williamson, C. W. Chappell, R. S. Allen, Henry Bush, Henry Albritton.
