Death of a Good Citizen
3811

Mr. Joseph T. Bell, a good, peaceable, law-abiding citizen, died at the home of his son, Mr H.F. Bell, at this place on Saturday last, Oct. 28th, after a protracted illness of dysentery.

Mr. Bell was a native of this county and would have been 64 years old the 7th of this month, having been born, Nov 7, 1835. He had been a member of the Methodist church for over forty years, and lived consistent with his profession. He served through the Confederate War with Capt. Foster’s Company and made a good soldier.

He leaves surviving him, his widow and five children, Messrs. T.S., H.F., H.W., and E.M. Bell, and Mrs. J.Q. Connor. His remains were interred at Camp Creek church last Sunday.

During his illness, Mr. J.P. Hunter and other friends were very kid and attentive to him, and the family requests us to return their sincere thanks to them.
