NIXON - Claudie May Melvin, 92, of Holland and formerly of Nixon, died Monday, July 25, 1994.

She was born June 22, 1902, in Stockdale to the late Charley A. and Lavonia Hobbs Bellgard. She married the late Lonzo Pace on June 30, 1919, in Floresville and Lloyd Melvin on April 25, 1958, in Nixon. The homemaker was a Baptist.

Survivors: daughters, Dorothy L. Ivey and Fay Ivey, both of Holland, and Leona Wilson of Heber, Ariz.; sons, Robert Clifford Pace of White Hall and Lonnie Walter Pace of San Antonio; several stepchildren; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: first husband on Nov. 11, 1948, and second husband on Dec. 9, 1967; daughter, Doris Leasman Moore on June 27, 1993; sons, Delbert Eugene "Pete" Pace on July 21, 1986, and Richard W. Pace in November 1993; and parents.

Visitation: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Finch Funeral Home chapel.

Services: 2 p.m. today, at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.
