Funeral Services for Gloria Elaine Herriage of Quitman, Texas will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas Friday, February 12 at 10:00, with visitation Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM. She passed away on February 9, 2021 in Tyler, Texas at 74 years old.

She was born September 23, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to the late S.A. and Doris Tharp. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School. She has a certification of graduation from The Cradle Roll Class School at Urban Park Assembly of God Church in Dallas, Texas. Her whole life was built around living for The Lord Jesus Christ.

On June 10, 1966 The Lord used her to bring more love to one man than he ever deserved or could have expected. At a young age she got the name “Glo”, as she was known all her life. Even at the nursing home when she could not remember or understand things, she always had a sweet spirit. She was beautiful inside and out. She must have been one of Heavens Angel that The Lord knew her husband needed.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim Herriage of Quitman, Texas, one daughter, DeLaina Pesnell of Grand Saline, Texas, one granddaughter, Julia Herriage of North Richmond Hills, Texas, a sister, Karen McKnight of Canton, Texas, two brothers, Donny Tharp of Lawton, Oklahoma and Scott Tharp of Royce City, Texas.

Mr. Jimmie Dee Herriage, age 76 of Quitman, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on March 15, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to the late James Edward and Julia Mae Herriage. He honorable served in the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant. Mr. Herriage was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service for 26 years. He was a pastor of Gunter Assembly of God for 15 years. Jimmie attended First Assembly of God in Quitman, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Gloria Herriage. He is survived by daughter; Delaina Pesnell of Grand Saline, Texas, brother; Johnnie Herriage of Kerens, Texas, granddaughter; Julia Herriage of Orlando, Florida.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Quitman, Texas. Honorary pallbearers; Justin Herriage, John David Herriage, Josh McKnight.
