Anthony "Tony" G. Bowen, 78, of Victoria, died Saturday May 22, 1999.
He was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Oklahoma, to the late John and Alma Sullivan Bowen. He was a retired mechanic from DuPont, having served 29 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Leona Svoboda Bowen; daughters, Mary Orr of Yoakum, Paula Obsta of Houston and Stephanie Meyer of Corpus Christi; sons, Anthony Bowen Jr. of San Antonio and Michael Bowen of Austin; brother, John Bowen of San Antonio; and four grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: sister, Mary Dick.
A rosary will be recited 4 pm today at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Victoria, 573-4546.
