Prominent Stock Dealer Victim Of Stroke; Rites Thursday

Following a paralytic stroke suffered Monday at 4 p. m. at the E. E. Anderson farm near Williamsport, R. Earle Vincent, 69, died Tuesday at his home near New Holland, without regaining consciousness.

Mr. Vincent, a member of one of the oldest and most prominent families of the New Holland community, had been a farmer and stock dealer in that vicinity all his life He was a member of the F. & A. M. Masonic order, Purity Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Church of Christ of New Holland.

Mr. Vincent was the son of the late Robert and Sarah Thompson Vincent. He is survived by 11 children, his wife Ella Johnson Vincent, preceding him in death three years ago.

The children include Mrs. Mary Kirkpatrick, Earl Vincent Jr., of New Holland; Harry of Derby; Paul of Dayton; Theodore of South Charleston; Herbert of Atlanta; Hugh of Madison Mills; Richard, Carlos and Mrs. Louise Woody qf Columbus and Mrs. Jane Miller of Tulsa, Okla. He leaves two brothers. Coke and Wade, of New Holland, and three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Ware, New Holland, Mrs. George Darlington, Washington C. H., and Mrs. Ralph Timmons of Columbus, and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p. rn. in the Church of Christ of New Holland, with the Rev. Floyd Smith of New Vienna and the Rev. Frank E. Roberts of Columbus, former ministers of the church, officiating.

Burial on the family lot in the New Holland cemetery will be in charge of Kirkpatrick and Sons.

Friends may call at the residence where the body was removed Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home.
