Miriam Augusta Conner,808 91, passed peacefully to her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on January 14, 2008, surrounded by many of her adored family, as they sang some of her favorite hymns of faith. She is survived by seven of her eight children, Jon, Richard, Linda, Barbara, Ira Jr., Delight, and April, son-in-law, Roger Smith, 25 grandchildren, 34 greatgrandchildren, her brother Terry Williams of Texas, and by hosts of dearly-cherished friends. Her beloved husband, Captain Ira Martin Conner, eldest daughter, Iris, and grandson, David, preceded her in death. A celebration of Miriam's homegoing will be held at the Open Door Fellowship, 8301 N. 19th Ave., Phoenix, on Friday the 18th at 11:00 am. Her body will be laid to rest with that of her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Sedona resident Ira Martin Conner Sr. died July 20 at age 84. Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix. Mr. Conner was a high school teacher for more than 25 years. He also served as a captain in the U.S. Army.
