Hadley Rites To Be Monday
   Mrs. Perry (Beulah) Hadley, Rt. 4, died at Memorial Hospital today.  She was born September 1, 1894, in Pennsylvania. Her parents were Morris Bacastow & Sarah Elizabeth Hemperly.
   She moved to West Bolton Township as a small girl with her family and has lived in the Arkansas City area ever since.
   She was married to Perry A. Hadley, September 27, 1919 in Newkirk. They made their home in the East Bolton area and in Arkansas City.
   She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, and the IXL Needle Club. She is survived by her husband of the home, 1 son, Bill Hadley, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 1 daughter, Mrs. Maynard (Pat) Allen, Rt. 4, 1 brother, Harry Bacastow, Rt. 3, 1 sister, Mrs. Fred (Susie) Morrow, Rt. 2 and 6 grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Gilbert and Perry Hadley, Jr. and 7 brothers.
   Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Harvey Hanneman and Rev. John Duran officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, under direction of Rindt Memorial Chapel.
   A memorial in her name has been established to the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Contributions may be given at the church or through the funeral home.

Perry Hadley Is Retiring
Perry Hadley, Rt. 4, a carpenter for Apco for more than 20 years, retired at the close of business March 31, under the company’s compulsory plan. He plans now to devote his time to his 20 acre tract south of the city, his Hereford cattle, fruit trees and berry bushes and his garden. Next fall, with Mrs. Hadley, he plans an extensive trip, especially to visit his brother, who lives in San Diego.
 
Hadley went to work for the old Kanotex Refinery in 1928. He worked there four years, then was off a short time, and returned in 1933. He worked in operation and on a pipe gang for a while but for the last 20 years has been head carpenter in the carpentry department.
 
Prior to going to work for the Kanotex, Hadley worked for the old A. C. Refinery and the Milliken Refinery.
 
Born in Geuda Springs, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Hadley, he has lived all his life in this area except for a short time spent in Pawnee. He was married to Beulah Bacastow in Newkirk, September 27, 1919.
 
Mr. & Mrs. Hadley were the parents of 3 sons and a daughter. Their oldest son, First Lt. Gilbert Hadley, a pilot, was lost in World War II in the raid on the Ploesti oil field. Perry Hadley Jr. was killed in a bicycle accident at the age of 13. Bill Hadley works for the Phillips Refinery, Bartlesville; and their daughter, Mrs. Patricia Maynard, lives just south of them in the 1XL district north of state line. Mr. & Mrs. Hadley have 5 grandchildren, 3 grandsons who belong to their daughter and her husband, and 2 granddaughters at Bartlesville, children of Mr. & Mrs. Bill Hadley.
 
Mr. & Mrs. Hadley belong to the Lutheran Church.
 
Hadley has taken a prize in the Christmas lighting contest for the last three years, the past Christmas taking first place in the religious category.

Perry A. Hadley
   Perry A. Hadley, Rt. 4, died Sunday night in Wesley Hospital, Wichita.
   He was born March 23, 1900, at Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Arthur T. Hadley & Alice Benbolt Rowe Hadley.
   He married Beulah P. Bacastow on September 27, 1919, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They made their home near Arkansas City, in the East Bolton community. She preceded him in death on November 9, 1973.
   He had worked as a carpenter for Apco.
   He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and the International Union of Opoerating Engineers.
   Survivors include: 1 son, Bill Hadley, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Mrs. Maynard (Pat) Allen, Rt. 4, Arkansas City; 1 brother, Joe Hadley, Fort Worth, Texas; and 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Gilbert and Perry Jr.; 5 brothers, Dan, Ben, Ray, Bill and Bob; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Grace Hubbard and Mrs. Dolly Dean.
   Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rindt Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Duran officiating. Burial to be in Riverview Cemetery. The casket will remain open until service time and will be closed at the service.
   A memorial has been established in his name to the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Contributions may be left at the church office or Rindt Memorial Chapel.
