1103In the name of God, Amen: I, Isham Hendon of Wake County, state of North Carolina, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, Blessed be to God, do this 26th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three make and publish this, my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say:-First, I give my beloved wife Keziah Hendon the land and plantation where on I now live together with all the personal estate which I now possess to her during her widowhood. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Robinson Hendon one negro boy named George. ITEM: I give end bequeath to my son William Hendon the sum of five shillings current money. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Hendon one negro boy named Bob. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Duskin the sum of five shillings current money. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Kerenhappuck Clift one negro girl named Lucy. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Olive, our negro girl named Hannah. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Moore the sum of five shillings of current money. ITEM: I give and bequeath to my son James Hendon two hundred and forty acres of land where on he now lives to him and his heirs forever, also one negro man named Bap and one negro woman named Amey and their increase forever. I give and bequeath to my son, Isham Hendon the land and plantation whereon I now live, containing three hundred and sixty nine acres, to him, his heirs forever, also one negro man named Guy and one negro woman named Milly, and their increase, also my still and working and farming utensils of all kinds. The residue of my estate not heretofore given away, both real and personal, I leave to be equally divided between my sons, James Hendon and Isham Hendon and I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons, James Hendon and Isham Hendon to be my executors of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal, the twenty-sixth day of January one thousand eight hundred hundred and three in the presents of: Henry Andrews, Carrot Vandegift, Archebold Vandagift, Adam Sims and Elisha Spiker.
