Carver Kemper was killed while fishing by two escaped convicts. Carver was a hunter and liked to hunt bears.
1960Willis L. Kemper1983 AMITY - Willis L. Kemper, 66, of 410 Barney Alley, was found dead Friday in Tillamook County while on a fishing trip.
Born in Oklahoma, he moved to Jacksonville in 1960 and to Amity in 1966.
Survivors include wife, Naomi; sons, Wendell W., Aloha, William K., Klamath Falls, and Warren, Yamhill; daughters, Waunee Kemper, Medford, and Winell Kemper, Portland; brothers, Troy, Califor-nia.and Claude, New Mexico; sisters, Virgie Simington and Ruby Reed, both of New Mexico; Connie Green, Portland, and Katie Dodson, Lapine; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scotts mortuary.
