William Anthony Hood, son of Mary Frances, was born 14 February 1859 in Haywood County. He was married 9 November 1881 to Mary Thomas Watson and they had two children, Cora and Nora. His first wife died and William A. married second on 19 December 1887 to Sarah Ann Stevenson, daughter of James S. and Mary Jane Hoyle Stevenson. William A. and Sarah had five children, Myrtle VaLera Hood, Harvey Vernon Hood, George Calvin Hood, Louis Watson Hood and Ethel Marie Hood. William A. Hood died 18 July 1925 and is buried in the Trinity Cemetery at Nutbush, Haywood County, Tennessee.108
