Funeral services for Mrs. Rozelle Sanford Harrison 88 will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday September 14 2006 at Grace Presbyterian Church in America with Rev. Grover Gunn Dr. Blair Bentley and Dr. Charlie Crouthers officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery in the Nutbush Community of Haywood County with graveside services at 2:00 PM. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Harrison died Monday September 11 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born in Haywood County Tennessee daughter of the late Samuel W. and Frances Amanda King Sanford and was educated in the local schools and was a member of the 1938 graduating class of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Harrison served many years as a Registered Nurse retiring from Jackson-Madison County in 1980. She was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church in America. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband James Travis Harrison and a brother John Sanford. Survivors include two daughters Lynn Larry Evans of Beech Bluff TN and Dorothy John Chapman of Naples FL; six grandchildren David Jonna Dodd James Dodd Melissa James Farr Josh Angelia Evans Andy Tina Evans and Paul April Evans; nine great-grandchildren Warren Autumn Elise Jack Josh Emily Angela Tyler and Chelsea; four sisters Jane Ireland of Collierville TN Bobbie Newsom of South Carolina and Ann Baird and Bess Cresap both of Brownsville TN and two brothers Spence Sanford of North Carolina and Jim Sanford of Lobelville TN. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to Grace Presbyterian Church of America.
