James "Jim" Henigan, also known as "Herb" since a child, passed away on September 25, 2021, at the age of 79, surrounded by his loving wife of 47 years and three daughters, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine, Texas. Burial will follow at Tennessee Colony Cemetery.
He was born on November 4, 1941, in Luling, Texas, to the late Joseph Elzie and Hazel Marie Henigan. He married the love of his life, Carla Jean Clodfelter, on December 29, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas. Together, they had three daughters and later in life helped raise their three grandchildren.
Jim grew up in Pollock, Louisiana, joined the United States Air Force and served for eight years and two tours overseas during the Vietnam War.
He loved spending time with his family. Jim loved the outdoors and spent as much time as possible out on the water fishing. He was an incredible fisherman and shared the love of his hobby with his daughters and especially his grandson, Blaine.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Alice Faye Henigan Polk and Nelva Christine Wallace McKay.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carla; daughters, Alyson Chapman (Caleb) of College Station, Amanda Krenn (Shane) of League City, and Amy Sheridan (Cesar Guillen) of Palestine; grandchildren, Jayden Krenn, Haylie Krenn, Ashton Sheridan, Kylie Sheridan, and Blaine Sheridan; brothers, Thomas Edward "Tom" Henigan and Leslie Eugene "Puck" Henigan; sisters, Patsie Jo Henigan Rowzie and Carol Ann Henigan Robertson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
