Alvarado farmer, Mr. K. M. Mackey, died of heart disease on his farm Monday evening, December 15, 1930. He was 78 years old.
Born to John Wesley and Sarah Roller Mackey, he was married to Cynthia Ethell Leach in Texas on September 26, 1826. She survives him, along with six sons, Willie Joe, David, James, Chester, Johnnie and Walter Mackey; and three daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Rosa) Richardson, Mrs. Dewey (Nell) Smith and Mrs. Perry (Vivian) Stafford.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado.
